Summer Meals Program
Plans are well underway again this year to continue meals for students and children from birth to 18 years old during the summer months.
Similar to last June, meal boxes consisting of five breakfast and lunch meals and one gallon of milk per child will be available on Wednesdays at two locations: Gamewell Elementary and Hudson Middle School. The drive-thru distribution times are 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and 3:30-5:30 pm.
Students who are enrolled in summer school or WrapAround do not qualify. There will be no distribution the week of July 4-8. Starting July 11 through August 19, lunch will be offered to children 0 to 18 years of age at the following sites: Martin Luther King Center, Mulberry Park, and Redwood Park. More details to follow.Summer meals are provided by the CCS Child Nutrition Department and funded by the USDA. Please mark these dates on your summer calendar!

Rent the Spirit Rock!
For only $10 a week, you can "rent" one of our spirit rocks here at GFES. The rocks can be painted with a message for your child, such as "Happy Birthday", or "Congratulations", or any other special message/occasion! Please contact Mrs. Anderson in the office to reserve your week today.

COVID-19 Information
Anyone showing symptoms of Covid-19 or who may have been exposed to Covid-19 SHOULD NOT BE AT SCHOOL. If you answer YES to any of these 3 questions, please stay at home.
- Have you had close contact (within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes) in the last 14 days with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, or has any health department or health care provider been in contact with you and advised you to quarantine?
YES - The person should not be at school . The person can return l 4 days ofter the lost time they hod close contact with someone with COVID-19
NO - The person con be at school if they ore not experiencing symptoms. - Since you were last at school, have you had any of these symptoms? Fever (100.4 F or higher), New cough, Chills, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing , New loss of taste or smell
*If a person has any of these symptons, they should go home and call their health care provider. - Since you were last at school, have you been diagnosed with COVID-19>
YES - If a person is diagnosed with COVID-19 based on a test, their symptoms, or does not get a COVID-19 test but has had symptoms, they should not be at school and should stay at home.
NO - The person can be at school if all other questions ore "NO"

Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures
Drop-off begins at 7:30am. School starts at 7:55am. Please download the Drop-off/Pick-up Procedure file. It will give you specific informaton by grade level on where you need to drop-off your child for school. Thank you very much for your patience and support.
