I have a passion for all things choir. I love being in choirs, directing choirs, but most of all I love the friendships and teamwork that a choir builds. My choral experiences as a teenager and young adult are what drove me to pursue a career in music and what kept me focused and driven through high school. One of the reasons I love teaching high school is so I can share with my students the experiences that I had as a young person. Choir is where I made friends, learned to deal with conflict appropriately, and learned how to express myself in a positive way.
This is my fourth year teaching in Caldwell County and my first year at West Caldwell High School. I received two degrees from Appalachian State University, a K-12 degree in music education and a music performance degree in sacred music.
In addition to teaching, I have a part time job as the director of choirs at First Presbyterian Church Lenoir. I also enjoy singing (of course!), hiking, cooking, and spending time with my husband and dog. I got married in June 2015 to Bryan Wolfe, a science teacher at Gamewell Middle School. My parents and four younger siblings live in Charlotte, still living in the house where I grew up :)
