My name is Mrs. Michelle Barrier and I am your child's 4th grade teacher for the 2021-2022 school year.  I want to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome into my classroom.  This will be my twenty-seventh year teaching and my eighteenth year here at Gamewell Elementary.  I am very excited about working with your child this school year!

I was born in Morganton, NC and earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Appalachian State University.  I have taught 5th grade, 1st grade, 4th grade & I was a Literacy Specialist here at GES for 10 years.  I love teaching, reading, and camping.  I have a husband, a 10th grade son, two cats, and a dog. I enjoy going to the mountains and immensely dislike mayonnaise and scary movies.  My favorite color is yellow, and my favorite flowers are daises.  I look forward to a great school year!
