My name is Mrs. Michelle Barrier and I am your child's 4th grade teacher for the 2022-2023 school year.

This will be my twenty-eighth year of teaching and my nineteenth year here at Gamewell Elementary.

I was born in Morganton, NC and earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Appalachian State University.  I have taught 5th grade, 1st grade, 4th grade & I was a Literacy Specialist here at GES for 10 years.  I love teaching, reading, and camping.  I have a husband, an 11th grade son, two cats, and a dog. I enjoy going to the mountains and immensely dislike mayonnaise and scary movies.  My favorite color is yellow, and my favorite flowers are daises.
