Hi! This year, I will be teaching a 2nd/3rd grade combination class. I am very excited about trying something new. I have been teaching here for 25 years. In my years at GES, I have taught third grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade. I have served as a PTO Officer, Student Council advisor, and Box Top Coordinator and Box Topper Advisor. I love my GES family, and consider this my "home."

I am originally from Fayetteville, West Virginia. I moved to North Carolina to find a job many years ago. I have been married to Steve for 18.5 years, and have a very active 16-year-old daughter, Kayanna, who also attends Hibriten High School. She is a Varsity cheerleader for the HHS Panthers. I am also a ten-year-breast cancer survivor, and am very blessed to be healthy! I am currently fighting Metastatic Breast Cancer, being diagnosed in September 2022. 

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and camping with my family, friends, and dogs Trigger and Sadee. We travel from the mountains to the coast, meeting new people and experiencing new things. I also enjoy shopping, scrapbooking, and spending time with my friends and family.
