The 2022-2023 school year marks my 17th year at Hudson Middle School.  I taught two years in another county before coming to Caldwell. I've taught Computer Apps and the Project Lead the Way curriculum in the past. I live in Catawba County and attended public schools there as well.

Before entering education, I worked for 12 years in emergency services as a 911 telecommunicator, and I still work in this capacity on a part-time basis. I was also a member of the fire department in the area where I live for over 28 years. I retired at the end of 2018. I graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a B.S. in Business Administration and completed my licensure for Business/Marketing Education as well as my master's degree in Educational Media (Instructional Technology) through Appalachian State University.
